Udupi: Horekanike Procession of Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple Hejamady held with grandeur

Udupi, Apr 4: Horekanike procession in prior to the Asthabandha Brahmakalasha and Nagamandala of Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple Hejamady was held in a grandeur on Sunday April 03.

Puttige seer Sri Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji blessed the Horekanike procession with his presence throughout the procession. The Horekanike procession began from Hejamady Kodi grounds and concluded in Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple Hejamady.

Thousands of people from Hejamady, Kodi and other nearby villages took part in the procession. Rice bags, vegetables, coconut and other food grains were offered by the devotees to Lord Mahalingeshwara. Various tableaus and Bhanjan teams added more colors to the procession.

Jayanth Shetty Patel House Hejamady, President renovation committee Dayanand Hejamady, Mokthesara Pushparaj S Shetty, President Renovation Committee Mumbai and a large number of devotees were present on the occasion.

Asthbandha Brahmakalashabhisheka and Nagamandala:
Asthbandha Brahmakalashabhisheka of Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple Hejamady is taking place on April 06 after 30 years. Nagamandala and Halittu seve is also organized on April 05 on the occasion. A large number of devotees are expected to visit this divine place which has a history of almost 800 years.
