April 4: Udupi reports zero Covid cases, Dakshina Kannada records two

Mangaluru/Udupi, Apr 4: Dakshina Kannada on Monday, April 4, reported two new coronavirus cases while Udupi registered zero cases.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,35,487 out of which 7 are currently active.

 The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,850.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,04,680 as fine in 96,200 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

No corona cases were reported on April 4, the total active Covid cases are one. A total of two patients were discharged from hospitals on Monday.

A total of 10,77,906 people have received first dose of vaccination and 10,23,785 have received both doses and 55,627 people have received booster dose.

A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
