Udupi, Apr 4: The Hiriyadka police have nabbed a person accused of stealing a bike at Anjaaru village on Sunday evening.

The accused has been identified as Kumar alias Tailor Kumar (37) who is a resident of Sharavathinagar of Shivamogga district.

The complainant, Prasanna Kumar, who is the owner of the bike, had parked his vehicle in front of a shop in the evening to do some purchases. He found his bike stolen by the time he returned. He filed a complaint with the Hiriyadka police.

The police acted swiftly and promptly swung into action by erecting barricades in Ontibettu at Anjaaru village to check the motorcycles. A bike from Athradi was approaching the barricaded spot in the village which had the same registration number as that of the complainant’s bike.

The police stopped the bike rider and nabbed him as he tried to flee the place. The accused agreed to the crime and the police seized the stolen vehicle.

I have heard this trick by some delinquents (don't ask me which state they from)... a person commits crime when he has normal, grown hair on head... immediately after committing the crime, he shaves off (either self shave / barber) to change the look totally... so that he will not be identified... this seems to be such case...
