Bantwal: Police raid IPL betting den; arrest three, confiscate gadgets, cash

Bantwal, Apr 5: The Vittal police team raided a den where IPL betting was in progress and arrested three men and confiscated gadgets and cash amounting to several thousands of rupees.

The incident took place at Kudriya at Kolnadu village under Vittal police station limits.

The arrested accused are identified as Karunakar, Sharath Kumar and Avinash. Police also confiscated a laptop worth Rs 10, 000, cash of Rs 15, 500, five keypad mobiles and six smartphones.

It is alleged that the accused were involved in betting on April 4, around 9.45 PM when Lucknow and Hyderabad were playing the IPL match. Acting on a definite information, Vittal police station inspector Nagaraja H, SI Sandeep Kumar Shetty and personnel raided the spot and arrested the accused. The arrested people have confessed to the crime.
