Apr 6: Dakshina Kannada reports two cases, while Udupi district adds zero infections

Mangaluru/Udupi, Apr 6: Dakshina Kannada on Wednesday, Apr 6, reported two coronavirus cases while Udupi registered zero cases.

The total number of positive cases in Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,35,490 out of which 6 are currently active.

Three patients were discharged from hospitals on Wednesday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,850.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,280 as fine in 96,206 mincidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Zero cases was reported on Wednesday. The total active Covid case have risen to one.

No patients were discharged from hospitals on Wednesday.

Udupi taluk reported 0 case, Kundapura 0 and 0 case in Karkala.

A total of 10,79,897 people have received first dose of vaccination and 1024333 have received both doses and 56,978 people have received booster dose.
