Bengaluru, Apr 7: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has claimed that his two day Delhi visit was very successful and fruitful and said the party High Command will decide on the expansion of his Cabinet.
Speaking to media representatives in Delhi on Thursday before leaving for Bengaluru,he said that he was fortunate to have got the opportunity to attend the BJP’s 42nd Foundation Day in Delhi and also meet several Union ministers on the problems pertaining to Karnataka.
“I have met Union Ministers for Water Resources, Energy, Finance and Defence and all have positively responded to the demands and concerns raised by the State,’’ he said.
The Chief Minister mentioned that he had extensively discussed the expansion of his cabinet and the Central leaders have gathered all the information.
Bommai said the BJP State Executive Meeting will be held on April 16 and 17.
BJP national president JP Nadda has already explained on the strategies to be adopted for the forthcoming assembly elections in the State, Bommai said and added that the preliminary steps to be taken ahead of the assembly polls have also been shared by Nadda.
“The national leaders are expected to participate in the State Executive Committee meeting on April 16 and 17, when the Cabinet expansion will also be discussed before taking a final decision,’’ Bommai said.
The Chief Minister said he will concentrate on implementing the various programmes announced in this year’s budget after his return to Bengaluru, which is our top priority.
