The said 138-year-old cross, which was on a controversial piece of land at Moodigere, was erected on a tomb, which was lying opposite to the bus stand and adjoining the town panchayat land. We will always do what is right for society. We have been taught to always be respectful of others in our society and treat everybody with dignity. I am glad and happy that this was resolved in a peaceful manner. I am proud of my Christian community for having set a beautiful example. Way to go.

Hope it is not a case of being subconsciously/ psychological/ emotional pressure due to on-going precarious religious awakening!

God does not live between four walls or anything built by human hands. He is universal. People are very sentimental in respect of religious matters and no one should hurt their feelings. It is nice to see community accepted it's removal in larger interest of the society. As reported it was erected on a tomb and may have some more interesting historical facts to reveal.

Somebody once mentioned the Christian God is a forgiving God, no matter if wrongs are committed by others to its faith...No big deal for them, to remove a cross, if it's a hindrance for public development...The Christian God will understand and not get upset and everybody is happy.

Christian community is always peaceful. It is shame that we brand them for conversion. Actually it's new life and protestant groups go for conversion. We don't dare to touch illegal gudis or nagabanas even if they are hindrance to the development. The action by christians is very much appreciated.

If you don't remove it , then it will be demolished very easily. Minorities become soft target nowadays under current power. If you resist you will have to face the consequences

Communal forces trying to create unrest but peace loving community didn't allowed it. Otherwise there was no place to construct panchayat office. Almighty knows how these communal dividers RIP. If you cant help means atleast don't harass.

We justify why we can't touch a gudi or a naga bana fearing our fiery gods while we have no problem in appreciating the openness of other religions. Why don't we imitate them?

The christian community has set an example to everyone of us. Instead of fighting and creating hatred, whenever such issues surface, all involved should sit together for a dialogue and resolve the issues amicably without allowing politicians to solve it for us. History shows us that politicians are only concerned about their respective vote bank, for them all other things are secondary.

Most tolerant and reciprocal community is christian community... It is easy to point out a few issue like conversion but the contribution of Christians for the upliftment of our society is immeasurable...
