Bengaluru, Apr 8: “As deceased Chandru, who was killed on the night of Tuesday at J J Nagar in the city, did not know Urdu, he was killed. But I feel that police have pressurized home minister Araga Jnanendra to lie as the truth behind the murder may cause communal clashes,” said BJP national chief secretary C T Ravi.
Ravi spoke to the scribes at Vikasa Soudha on Thursday. He further said, “No one is injured due to bike accident. None of the vehicles are damaged. Mother of deceased informed that not knowing Urdu language by the deceased is one of the reasons for his killing.
“I will not comment on the statement of home minister Araga Jnanendra that not knowing Urdu is not the reason for Chandu’s murder. Sometimes, attempt is made to prevent the consequences of speaking the truth. Police must have pressurized home minister to withdraw his initial statement.
“Whatever be the reality, investigation should not go in any unwanted direction. For its political gains, Congress is instigated the matter. Congress is the one which nurtured Khalistan movement. Later, Indira Gandhi was sacrificed for the same. Congress leaders should answer as to which community will get instigated if truth comes out. They have to tell how can my statement instigates communal harmony,” he said.
