BJP rolls out its 'Mission 150+' plan for Karnataka Assembly polls

By Shashi Bhushan

New Delhi, Apr 10 (IANS): After the party won four out of five states in the recent assembly polls, the BJP has started preparations for the Karnataka assembly polls scheduled mid next year. The party is working on 'Mission 150+' for the assembly polls in 2023.

Recently, Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the southern state to take stock of the preparations and asked the party cadre to hit the ground running to achieve 'Mission 150+'. It is learnt that Shah has given specific work to be completed and said that more will be assigned in the future.

"Elections will be held next year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji's ‘naam' and ‘kaam' (name and work) is everywhere in the country and the state government is also doing good work. We will definitely achieve our 'Mission150+'. Amit (Shah) bhai ji has given certain directions to the state unit on how we should work on the ground. The state unit executes the directions on the ground. We will contest the Karnataka election on Prime Minister Modi's name and work and the work of the BJP government in the state. We will again come to power for sure," C T Ravi, BJP national general secretary and member Karnataka assembly, told IANS.

After witnessing how the 'labharthi' (beneficiaries) of the government schemes voted, which was apparently one of the major factors for the return of the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh, the Karnataka BJP is also planning to reach out to them.

"Around 60 percent of Karnataka's population is a beneficiary of one or the other schemes of the central or state governments. We have started working on converting this huge chunk of population into our voters. BJP workers and leaders are working to win the support of the ‘labharthi' in next year's election," Ravi said.

The saffron party has already started working on social engineering and identifying strong local leaders.

During his recent visit to Karnataka, Shah attended the 115th birth anniversary celebrations of late Shivakumara Swamiji of Siddaganga Mutt.

The Siddaganga Mutt is an important religious centre of the Lingayat community in the state.

The visit by Shah, insiders said, was part of a confidence building and social outreach exercise aimed to remove any misgivings in the Lingayat community after the party replaced BS Yediyurappa with B S Bommai as the chief minister in Karnataka.

Lingayats constitute close to 17 percent of Karnataka's population and Yediyurappa is considered one of the tallest leaders of the community.

The Karnataka BJP had also started a ‘Jan Swaraj Yatra' with four teams led by senior party leaders Yediyurappa, K S Eshwarappa, Jagadish Shettar and Nalin Kumar Kateel to mobilise the workers.

"He (Yediyurappa) is still capable. He has given complete yogdaan to the party. The party will make full use of his political acumen. He is making all efforts to ensure the BJP wins the assembly elections," said Ravi.

Dismissing the claims of the Congress that the party will be able to come to power this time, Ravi said it will meet the same fate it did in Uttar Pradesh. "Some Congress leaders are day-dreaming but they won't be able to come to power in 2023."

Last year, after months of speculation about a change of guard in Karnataka, the BJP replaced party veteran Yediyurappa and made Bommai the chief minister of the state.

Last two Karnataka elections even with EVMs BJP did not get majority to form the govt. But congress formed an alliance govt which BJP toppled it by illegal means. So, in Karnataka BJP can form a govt only by overthrowing a people elected govt to form non elected govt. How can BJP win in any state or centre with its anti people’s unpopular policies?. People want a govt which addresses and solves their daily life socio-economic challenges but not a govt with religious preaching and practices as swamis, saints, sanyasis and gurus ignoring their constitutional oath and duty.

The exit polls by the Godi Media will rattle out these figures for the BJP. The BJP if it claims to be the party of the masses, for just once prove your popularity with the Ballot papers. Take this as a Challenge to disprove repeated speculations of Manipulating of EVM'S and glaring discrapancies in the EVM's in virtually all the states and General elections. we see a clear pattern emerging of the exit polls by the Godi media whose predictions have always matched with the final results. In fact the exit polls of 2019 general elections predicted 303 seats and the results matched the exit polls prediction. A lot of people across the country have no doubt in their minds that the EVM's are being used to decimate the congress and achieve the stated goal of Congress Mukt Bharat. . Aklesh Yadav like Tejaaswini Yadav in Bihar were denied their much deserved victories with such manipulations of the EVM's.

I think because of Hijab, and small small meaning less issues, people losed the confidence with BJP. They think that all Hindus will join and vote for them. No, before 2014 all Hindus joined together and elected Modiji. But now because of bad policy, Hindus have become BJP Hindus, Congress Hindus, TMC Hindus, JD'sHindus ,parties wise they have become politically divided. Poverty and unemployment has gone up, day to day food items rate gone up. So peoples have disappointed with BJP.

AAP has displayed exemplary dedication to the rule of law, singleness of purpose to be a democratically elected party ( for the people by the people ). Healthcare, Education, Utilities and General administration is at its peak in Delhi and now the People of Punjab will reap the reward of democracy at work by electing a party and leaders who care for the people while may be speaking the language of the write wing but committed work for a good governance & livelihood for all ( all cast, creed, religions and sects of the Vast inherited systems in society that can never be eradicated let alone pitted against each other for political gains/vote bank). So, AAP is the Only viable alternative which almost 80% of the people in the state have now decided looking at the latest development in Delhi and Punjab which vibrate with positive energy. It is a very a big target 150 so few thousand crores will be needed to buy out the winning horses from other stables so forget about fuel and other prices and pay to run the country and most of it will be used to build the party fund to trade horses. It is true as it is said,,.. if the government does not rise price how to pay salary to soldiers at the border ? petrol price and Gas cylinder are not any issue now as the price rise is not in government control. Check the facts and not the propaganda... Delhi has achieved huge success in healthcare, education and general civic administration. Tamil Nadu is Investing and liberalizing Industry and manufacturing a DRY STATE (TN) is Transforming and we are busy building sene and uniting majority for next election with relevant topics to keep the already unemployed youth busy. It is only right to keep the youth busy with all possible emotional and burning topics which the uneducated and unemployed and aimless youth who have been prepared for the past 20 years and who have now come of age to defend the party and the masters waiting for orders to do the needful for the party.

After their recent performances in Karnataka they will be lucky to get sixty seats if people don’t vote them on religious basis. Chief minister has totally failed to show leadership in ruling fairly other than creating harassment of minorities and running to Delhi every few days for consultation. If he can’t make a simple decision on his own he may not be able to rule.
