Cong has no moral right to protest against price rise, says Bommai

Bengaluru, Apr 11: In an aggressive reaction to the Congress party’s protests against price rise, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said the opposition party has no moral right to speak or agitate against price rise as it was responsible for highest price rise and inflation when it was in power.

Speaking to media persons near his residence in Bengaluru on Monday, he said a panel headed by Chief Justice was looking into the protests by PFI students and the government will take action only after receiving the report.

To a question on whether BJP supported independent Mandya MP Sumalatha Ambarish would be formally joining the BJP, he said: “It is for her to decide.’’

However, Bommai clarified that no special meaning should be attached to her visit to meet him as she had come to hand over an invitation for her sister’s daughter’s wedding. “Naturally, when an MP meets me, matters pertaining to the constituency come up for discussion. Nothing else was discussed,’’ he said.

Bommai later participated in the Chitraduga Dharma Sansad organised at the Bangalore Palace Grounds as part of the birthday of Chitradurga Mutt Seer Sri Shivamurtyhy Murugha Sharana, in which Siddaganga Mutt Seer Sri Siddalingaswamy of Tumkuru also participated.

Visit to Udupi, Mangaluru

Water Resources Minister Govind M Karjol, Energy Minister V Sunil Kumar, MLA Rajashekara Patil Telkur, State BJP Vice President BY Vijayendra were among the dignitaries who attended the convention.

The Chief Minister said he was visiting Udupi district later today to participate in several developmental works in the coastal district. He said he will be visiting Mangaluru on Tuesday to take part in party’s organisational events.

This frog in the well is governed/impressed by his limited sky above. How he can deny the progress brought by Congress. Indian currency exchange rate is going bad to worse. Still creating own stories against previous government. Just watch out GST, fuel prices and un employment and communal unrest. From secular we are diving into communal authoritarian government.

Jokers started cracking jokes, to protest against price rise the patent is taken by the bjp6. When congress time their party leaders could take gas cylinder and sit on the road when cylinder was costing only rs 400/- and petrol was 65 and diesel rs58/- people and opposition should keep quiet and not protest are we living in democracy or dictators rule.

Bomma, Agreed congress was responsible for inflation and price rice when they held power. Now you are in power since 7 years and what have you done about it? Do you mean to say if there was inflation during congress power you too will deliver the same? You are worse than congress. BJP has no right to be in power nor any shame left in them. Every time digging the grave of congress is the only thing the entire BJ party knows.
