Mangaluru, Apr 11: Deputy leader of the Congress party in the state legislative assembly and MLA U T Khader, slamming the BJP-led the state government said that goons are ruling the state of Karnataka and not the chief minister.

Addressing a press meet at circuit house here on Monday April 11, Khader said, "The chief minister and his administration has failed to control the people with cruel mindset who disrupt peace, harmony and brotherhood in the state. He has handed over the administration to the hands of goons and has remained silent. The chief minister is mum over various kinds of provocations taking place in the state on the lines of communalism. The chief minister and his government have failed to curb these communal forces."

Khader also stated that 95% people in the state are expecting peace and harmony. “But, it is being disrupted by a few percent of people with a cruel mindset. The chief minister should curb these communal elements, but, the government has failed in it. People should not lose patience over communal provocations and time will answer these communal forces.

"Karnataka has a good reputation across the globe. The administration of BJP is bringing a bad name to the state. This type of administration will surely backfire them. BJP administration has become pauper, there is nothing to project, hence communal provocations are being done," he said.

He also said that prices for fuel and essential commodities are skyrocketing and to hush up these things, communal provocations are being done.

Khader also said that the people in the district are struggling to complete the constriction of their houses due to lack of sand and also its exorbitant price. “When the Congress was in power, it provided sand for Rs 5,200 per load, but the state government has increased it by Rs 2,000 per load for the sand availed through the sand bazar application. Though a tender was floated, the government failed to grant the permission. As the government is not getting royalties for sand mining, it is a loss to the government's treasury," he said.

Congress leaders Kallige Tharanath Shetty, A C Jayaraj, Farooq, Suresh and others were present.

People of Karnataka are responsible for this situation by voting to this government. Even in next assembly elections they will not realise and they will bring them back again to power due to the hatred towards particular community

U T Khader has hit the nail on the head. Whatever that is going on in the state is nothing short of a joke. This CM is unable to control anything. I don't know with what face he is facing the people. A deplorable state of affairs for a state as important as Karnataka. The BJP has absolutely nothing to show by way of development. Little wonder, therefore, we are witnessing all sorts of nonsense in the state. And that is just to divert the attention of the people from asking questions.

You are right. Gone were the days under Congress rule. There were hardly any communal violence and communal or religion hate speeches and now a days certain community is openly challenged and discriminated in ways including religious and cultural beliefs & faith. BD & Ram Sena 365 days talk against and criticising to which no end. Now restricting Muslim traders to some unknown extent. What is this. Foreign countries are so considerate to employ Indian without cast creed and religion and in our own country citizens are discriminated on the bases of religion ? Where the humanity gone. What the Holi scripture teaches these divisive minded aliens.

I pray that congress comes back to power, we are surviving due to all the industrialization and development programs carried out in the country till 2014, If we did not have proper framed export (that too in few states) - our fate would have been similar to Srilanka. Please be responsible while voting.
