Eager to Compose Music for Bollywood Again: Zakir Hussain

Mumbai, Feb 5 (IANS) He composed music for critically acclaimed "Mr And Mrs Iyer" and now tabla maestro Ustad Zakir Hussain is eager to make music for Bollywood films again.

"The problem is that I'm here always for a very less time and to give music in a Bollywood film you have to be here because producers can call you any time to make changes in the song; so it becomes a little difficult for me to do it," said Hussain who is based in US.

"But it has been a dream because I used to play tabla in the recordings of Madan Mohan and Naushad; so even I had a desire to compose music for Hindi films. So whenever I get a chance and if time allows, I would love to do it," he added.

In the past, the Grammy winner has composed soul-stirring music for Sai Paranjape's "Saaz" (1998) and for an Indo-American production "For Real" (2009).
