Mangaluru, Apr 16: Akhila Bharath Hindu Mahasabha demanded the arrest of minister K S Eshwarappa who was held responsible for his death by contractor Santhosh K Patil in his death note.
Addressing media here on Saturday April 16, state president of Akhila Bharath Hindu Mahasabha, Rajesh Pavithran said, “A Hindu representative has ended his life and held minister Eshwarappa responsible for the suicide. The BJP has come to power in the name of Hindutva. Santhosh Patil was a Hindu. Eshwarappa resigned from his post after pressure. He should have been sacked from the cabinet. Whenever a Hindu leader passes a statement, police file suo moto case. Why is the police now silent and not arresting Eshwarappa even after an FIR is filed? RTI activist Vinayak Baliga was murdered. Even
he was a BJP representative, but no justice yet in his case too. The BJP has used Hindu representatives for the sake of power. So far, BJP has done nothing for Hindutva. Eshwarappa’s resignation is just an agenda ahead of election. Why Mutalik was restricted in Gangolli? Is this Hindutva? BJP needs only the votes of Hindus.”
State general secretary Dharmendra Pradhan said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power saying a slogan that India will be free from corruption. Is this a slogan not applicable in the state? Eshwarappa has denied taking commission. If he is sincere and has courage, then he should swear at Dharmasthala temple. The BJP alleged that the Congress have looted the country for 60 years, but what has the BJP done? The resignation is just a political agenda. I can even say that this case will be sidelined in a few months and Eshwarappa will be given a clean chit. We urge to probe this issue under the guidance of a retired judge.”
