Mangaluru, Apr 16: The district Congress staged protest here at Clock Tower on Saturday April 16 against minister K S Eshwarappa in connection to contractor Santhosh Patil suicide case.

Blocking the road, the leaders raised slogans against Eshwarappa and demanded that the resignation is not enough and he has to be arrested and put behind the bars.

Former KPCC president G Parameshwar said, “Basavaraj Bommai replaced Yediyurappa as the chief minister. People expected good administration from Bommai. It is very unfortunate to see corruption in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given the slogan ‘Na Khaunga, Na Khaane Dunga, people believed his words. When Modi visited Karnataka, he alleged that Congress is 10% commission government, but now your government has become 40% commission government. Modi is protecting the state government and favouring corruption. Santhosh Patil’s suicide revealed the 40% commission of the state government. We demand judicial probe into the issue. The governor should scrap this state government by recommending to the central government terming it as a corrupt government.”

MLA U T Khader, former MLAs Ramanath Rai and J R Lobo, district Congress president Harish Kumar, former MLC Ivan D Souza, district Youth Congress president Luqman Bantwal, district Mahila Congress president Shalet Pinto and others were present.

These many people on one agenda? It must be of national importance. Wait, it is Eshwarappa's resignation and arrest. Why do I feel that this is what Central leadership wants? Their problem of defection always emanated from Shimogga. Ignore it if you did not agree, but if what I am thinking is true, you draw your own conclusions as to who is played in such large numbers. In some countries they are called useful idiots.
