Mangaluru: MRPL conducts Saksham Cyclothon for energy conservation

Mangaluru Apr 17: As a part of Oil and gas conservation month, the Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) conducted the Saksham Cyclothon on Sunday April 17.

The cyclothon was flagged off at Mangala Stadium.

The cyclists started pedalling from Mangala stadium, proceeded via Ladyhill - Urwa Store – Infosys (U-turn) to Urwa Store – Ladyhill – and halted at Canara High School ground.

The cyclothon was followed by a street play on energy conservation.

Chief general manager, technical services, MRPL, Sudhir Pai said, "We are emphasizing on energy conservation, as oil and gas are very precious and there is a need for conserving energy for future generation. We are creating awareness among the public on energy conservation.

Executive director, project, MRPL, B H V Prasad, group general manager, technical services, Shyam Prasad Kamath, group general manager H R Krishna Hegde and others were present.
