Mother of Mangaluru origin kills son, hangs self in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Apr 21: In a heart-wrenching incident that is reported from the city, a woman of Mangaluru origin killed her five-year-old son and hanged self.

Rohini Shetty (36) and her son Siyan Shetty (5) are the unfortunate victims of this incident. They were living in a rented house under the limits of Hulimavu police station.

This tragic incident occurred on April 17.

Rohini’s husband Praveen was working in a private company as an engineer. Rohini’s mother also died by suicide 12 years ago. Rohini was under depression since her mother’s death. She had reportedly attempted suicide thrice after marriage.

Rohini killed her son and hanged herself from the fan in the house. Hulimavu police are investigating further.

    Evil spirits are around us. And they are hunting is down. No woman even when suffering from depression will kill her child. Moreover her husband was also alive. Why did this poor lady take such a step. I feel bad for her husband. How will he live with such void. May the almight grant peace to the departed mother and child.
