Bantwal: Mass marriage programme by Swasthik Friends Club – 20 couple exchange vows

Bantwal, Apr 25: “Swasthik Friends Club has written a new history by holding mass marriage,” said Mohandasa Swamiji of Manila Sree Dhama.

Swamiji gave his blessings at the 14th free mass marriage function that was organized on the 38th annual celebration of Swasthik Friends Club of Punjalakatte.

Swamiji said that all the newly married couple are lucky and they should make the effort of Swasthik Friends fruitful by leading a model life. He congratulated Tungappa Bangera who led the mass marriage programme.

Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik was the chief guest. Badajeguthu Ravishankar Shetty, president of management committee of Pedumale Sri Mahalingeshwara temple distributed Mangalasutra to the brides.

Sathish Shetty, district director of Shree Kshethra Dharmasthala rural development project presided over the function.

Mumbai entrepreneur Sundarraj Hegde couple, Harikrishna Bantwal, Nagaraja Shetty, Harindra Pai, Devappa Poojary, Harshini Pushpananda, Laxminarayana Hegde, Madhava Mave, Manjula Mave, Ramesh Shetty Majalodi, Laxminarayana Udupa, Puneet Kumar, Dinesh Amtoor, Omprasad and Punjalakatte SI Suket were the guests.

The brides and grooms were taken in procession from Sri Gopalakrishna temple premises to the wedding dais. Twenty pair couple exchanged vows at Muhurtham of 11 am.

Prashanth Punjalakatte, Jayaraj Attaje and Abdulla P were on the dais.

Founder president of the club Tungappa Bangera did the introductory speech. Prabhakara P, former president of the club welcomed the gathering. Convener Rajesh P Bangera rendered the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by retired teacher. Ramachandra Rao.
