Byndoor: 16-year-old pre-university student dies of electrocution

Byndoor, Apr 27: A 16-year-old college student died of electrocution at Nayakanakatte in Kergal gram panchayat limits after he came in contact with a live electric wire.

The victim who has been identified as Chetan Shetty was the son of Vasanth Shetty, a resident of Nellihaklu in Bijoor village.

Chetan Shetty who was studying his first pre-university at Uppanda was working in a shamiyana company as his college was closed for vacation. As there was an Upanayana function at a household in Nayakanakatte he was pitching a tent by climbing on an iron ladder. By sheer accident, he came in contact with a live electric wire that was used for decoration lighting with a pin piercing his chest. He suffered an electric shock and fell down.

He was immediately rushed to a Kundapura hospital where the doctors declared him dead on examination.

Byndoor police have registered a case.

    So young .May his soul rest in peace.Someones negligence made him to loose his life.Elctrician should answer to this action.Sad incident.Heartfelt sympathy to his parents..Actuelly before you took him to hospital ,you could give him a heart massage immediately might have saved his life.Taking to doctor takes a lot of time ,and heart and brain has this not.

    Clear case of gross negligence manslaughter. The contractor should be booked and given punishment so that this will not be repeated in the future.
