‘Corona under control in Karnataka': Bommai informs PM Modi

Bengaluru, Apr 28: Chief minister (CM) Basavaraj Bommai appraised the Covid situation in the state as well as the measures taken by him and the cabinet to control the same. He said that the government has decided to increase the Covid vaccination drive and also implement Covid compliant behaviour in public places.

Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi held video conference with CMs of various states of the country with regards to the fourth wave of Covid. Bommai spoke to the scribes after partaking in the meeting and said that he has conveyed the present Covid situation and the steps taken to counter it.



Bommai said, “We are concentrating on vaccinating children in the age group of 6 to 12 years and also give precautionary dose to people above the age of 60. We will hold large scale vaccine campaigns in hospitals.

“We have decided to test 30,000 people every day. Out of this 10,000 will be done in Bengaluru and 20,000 in other districts. Random test is being done on international passengers,” he informed.
