Parivartan Pratistan Distributes Annual Awards

Mumbai, Feb 12:
Parivartan Pratistan of suburban Andheri conferred annual awards in association with the Block Congress Committee on Wednesday February 9.
 
State health minister Suresh H Shetty was the chief guest on the occasion who presented awards to veteran achievers in different fields.  He also presented prizes to the winners of devotional singing and classical dance contests held during Ganeshotsav and Navaratri at various Mandals.
 


Speaking on the occasion, Shetty said that social welfare organizations should have social concern as the chief objective.  “The people deprived of the most basic amenities are expected to co-operate with the elected representatives in improving the situation,” he said.
 
Over 3000 women were present during the programme organized under the leadership of local corporator Clive Dias.
 
Corporators Kamlesh Roy and Roopali Pavaskar as well as Congress leader Manmata Shetty were the guests of honor.
 
Venkatesh Shetty, Vijay Borde, Mahtab Sheikh, Rais Gill, Sudhir Kava, Rajkumar Yadav, Darshana C Dais, Bhavana Jain, Amar Shetty, Nasir Sheikh, Meera D’Souza, Prakash Gaikwad, and Akbar Ali were present on the dais.
 
Clive Dias welcomed the gathering while Prabhakar Borde proposed the vote of thanks.  Suraksha Gosalkar compered the programme.
