But, an old couple does not seem to be bothered about their financial situation and have won the hearts of many netizens. They are not only independently leading their lives but they are also working hard at their age earning the appreciation of many.
This old couple who live in Manipal, Udupi district are serving unlimited home cooked food just for Rs 50 without complaining about hard they are working towards achieving their ends. However, they are making the ends meet with their own earning and are facing their day-to-day problems. If you live in Karnataka and you are longing to have home-made food you could visit the hotel run by this old couple.
People who visit this hotel affectionately call them as 'ajja' (grandfather) and 'ajji' (grandmother). This hotel was established in 1951 and the couple is working hard to help it stay afloat and their age has not come in the way of running it successfully. They are happy doing what they know best - serving unlimited food to their patrons for just Rs 50.
Food blogger Rakshit Rai visited Hotel Ganesh Prasad which is the name of the hotel and tasted the food that was on offer. He said that his visit to the place had made him emotional as the food that is served here is so homely with a lot of love and affection showered by this lovely old couple that one takes home.
The couple serves rice, sambar, rasam, payasa, bajji, palya (curry) and chutney in their daily meal.
