Bantwal, May 10: Police arrested man, who tried to kill a woman in broad daylight at Pariyalthadka market of Punacha village under the limits of Vittal.
Centering Shekhara alias Shekhar Poojary (50), resident of Navagrama Natekallu is the person, who is arrested by the cops in this connection.
Shekhar allegedly attacked Latha with machete in a bid to murder her late evening on Saturday May 7. Latha, who is seriously injured in the assault is recuperating in a hospital at Puttur.
The arrested accused is produced in court and remanded to judicial custody.
