Mumbai, Feb 22: Naina Prakash Bhandary, working president of ‘Chinnara Bimba’, and Ashrita Shetty, have been chosen as the country’s fresh faces, after winning a contest organized by Bombay Times, a Times of India publication, for the college students from all over India, to pick ‘Clean and Clear Bombay Times Fresh Face – 2010’. The girls, both of whom hail from Tulunadu, have brought laurels not only to their homes, but also to the entire Tulunadu.

The final round of the contest had been held in the city on February 8. The awards were handed over at an impressive ceremony organized on February 15 at Hotel Leela Kempinski in Andheri here.
The judges put the finalists through a rigorous test of nerves, talents and intelligence to pick the winners. Finally, they crowned these two Kannadigas from Karnataka coast, as the Fresh Faces.
In the round meant to pick college students from the metro on January 27 last, Ashrita Shetty had emerged as the first runner up. Naina Prakash Bhandary had secured the second runner up spot.
In the contest that was held in colleges across prime cities in the country thereafter, 21 contestants had become eligible for the final round. Out of them, six had been named as finalists. From the ladies’ segment, Naina and Ashrita emerged as winners, after facing a tough challenge from other eligible candidates.
The contest was going on since the last six months. Thousands of students had cleared the first round of the contest.
