Bengaluru, May 22: “Leave offices and visit areas that are destroyed because of rain. Achieve coordination between various departments. No leave for any official for the next 15 days,” said chief minister Bommai while giving strict instructions to the government officials to deal with any calamity that might arise due to rain.

Bommai held a video conference with the DCs, ZP CEOs and SPs on Saturday. He asked the officials to give more priority towards emergency works and relief to those who are affected by rains.

Bommai said, “PDO and village accountants should report to the site of damage immediately with a photographer, inspect the spot and record information about the house damage. Details of damaged houses should not be neglected. At the same time, unnecessary inclusion of other houses should not be done. Engineers of PWD and Panchayat Raj should be used for the survey.”

The main points that were discussed during the video conferencing included no delay in processing files related to floods, immediate relief to totally destroyed houses as per NDRF guidelines, inspection of loss of human lives and cattle, fundamental infrastructure damage, opening of relief centers as per need and medical examination, joint survey by agricultural, horticultural and revenue department with regards to crop and house damage, draining of excess water systematically from dams, giving forewarning to people living in low lying areas and making arrangements to shift them to safer places, precaution to be taken on villages that convert into Islands in Raichur and Yadagiri districts and caution on increase in water levels in river and dams.

Then rest all through the years....heating the chairs on duty hours .....take huge salaries accumulates in the account and enjoy .. .Right na CM sir ? Instead of 15 days, if you would have made strict law to work from 9 to 5 or 10 to 6 with half an hour lunch break and weekly one off...today, our country would have developed rapidly. Your statement makes the govt officials lazy. Privatization is best. What happened to BSNL ? Without bribes, a single document is not moving. If its not given, people's important works are held up. Just few days back i heard from a woman who is beedi roller. She says provident fund office employees make them cry. So many times they ask these people to come to fulfil the formalities. ..

Since there is a pay hike of 2L, all politicians can work themselves. No need of DC, AC, EE etc. Otherwise there are busy in wasting time jumping one party to other fooling people.

First give the responsibility to all MLAs and district in charge ministers. DCs, CEOs all others come next. But your MLAs are all busy in ministry reshuffle no time for them itseems. All MLAs and ministers must stay in their constituency only for 15 days. Please give order like that sir Bomma..
