Kasargod, Jun 4: A young couple killed themselves by hanging in their house at Perla in the district.

Vasantha (26) and Sharanya (22), resident of Sarpamale are the unfortunate victims of the tragedy.

The couple married two years ago and were living in an independent house. On Friday June 3, their house door was not opened as usual. As the neighbours did not see both till evening, they peeped through the window and saw both hanging to the ceiling.

Sharanya was a resident of Kajapandi, it is learnt. Reason for the extreme step is not known. Badiadka police conducted the spot inspection and shifted the mortal remains to Periyaram medical college for post mortem.

They look very nice as a couple. We don't know the pain some spouses go through. Only relief is that atleast they were together. May they rest in peace. Condolences to the family.

sad to know that the younger generation has totally lost hopes of living as jobs are hard to come by and financial distress taking toll on their lives...our joota sardar promised five crores jobs per year...just to get to delhi throne..when other party is ruling very easy to pinpoint prices of gas, diesel, petrol etc...when he is ruling it is international problem...hope the younger generation now has got clear picture of the feku mastear...and will give him rest after 2024 so that he can do his natak in gujju land

So many cases every day of entire families killing themselves because of financial distress, unemployment etc and yet, this government is busy building multi crore temples, stuffing Adani and Ambanis pockets and claiming 8.7% growth. Worst of all, in the name of religion, these people are fooling people to vote for them. In none of the previous governments have so many people committed suicide as in the Modi regime and that is the truth! He's only interested in making Gujarat great and continuing in power.
