Mangaluru/Udupi, Jun 6: Dakshina Kannada on Monday, June 5, reported one new coronavirus case while Udupi also registered one infection.
The total number of positive cases in the DK district has risen to 1,35,627 out of which 17 are currently active.
The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,850.
The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.
So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.
Udupi
One corona case was reported on June 6, taking the total active Covid cases to six.
A total of 10,86,361 people have received first dose of vaccination and 10,68,851 have received both doses and 73,529 people have received booster dose.
Udupi taluk reported one case, Kundapura and Karkala zero respectivelty.
A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
