Uppinangady, Jun 7: A man has been booked for raping his minor neighbour several times by the police here under registration No. 71/2022 section 363, 376(2)N, 506 IPC and section 5(L) 6 Pocso Act 2012.

The 13-year-old victim is a student of eighth standard.

The accused is Munasir, her neighbour who used to frequent the residence of the girl often. He had repeatedly told the victim that he loved her though she refused.

The victim was on the way to her school and reached had reached Kalleri Bana at about 8.15 AM on May 30, this year, when Munasir who reached there at about 8.30 AM held her hand saying that he will escort her to the school in his car but took her to a lodge in Uppinangady. He took a room on rent in the lodge and raped the girl for about six times despite the victim’s resistance.

Similarly Munasir had forced the girl in his car on June 7 at the same spot when the girl was on the way to the school at 8.15 AM, taken her to the room in the lodge and raped her about three times. He had threatened to kill her if she told anyone else about it, left her at Uppinangady bus stand and gone away.
