Bantwal: Cash missing from car in accident found in vehicle itself, handed over to family members

Daijiworld Media Network – Bantwal (MS)

Bantwal, Jun 10: A few days ago, it was said that Rs 2.03 lac cash that was kept in the car, which met with accident at Chanditmar of taluk, went missing from the vehicle. It is found that the cash is in fact intact inside the dashboard drawer of the car and the same was handed over to the family members.

Roshan Serrao, resident of Madanthyar had died on June 1, when the car driven by him collided with a tanker. He was running catering business and had cash of the previous day’s function in his car drawer. However, when his family members searched for the money and documents of the car, they could not find the same. So they had filed a complaint with Bantwal police station.

It came to light that according to the new technology when a car meets with accident, the dash board drawer gets folded inside. So, the cash and documents were not seen in the first instance. When the car was searched thoroughly the cash as well as the documents pertaining to the vehicle were found. The same was handed over to the wife of deceased Roshan under the guidance of Bantwal police station crime sub inspector Kalaimar through Arun Fernandes.

even i suspected the same...very sad state of affairs of our country..immersed in corruption..so much so that no value for humanity..they want to make money from the dead people also..just imagine the situation of the family who have lost their male earning member and here these people are eating out of their plates...before 1947 britishers looted us and now our own people are looting 100 times more..

hope it is not hera pheri done by cops thinking that the family is unaware of the cash...many times khaki does that and when issue is highlighted the same is returned...rest keeping in drawer of car etc are dramas which khakis are experts in..i am not blaming khaki here..but the corrupt nature of our police makes me to think so...
