Mangaluru/Udupi, Jun 10: Dakshina Kannada on Friday, Jun 10, reported seven new coronavirus cases while Udupi registered three cases.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,35,638 out of which 12 are currently active.

 The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,850.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Three corona cases were reported on Jun 10, the total active Covid cases are ten. Four patients  were discharged from hospital on Friday.

A total of 10,86,876 people have received first dose of vaccination and 10,71,994 have received both doses and 77,057 people have received booster dose.

A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
