Puttur, Jun 11: A case of assault on a student of a college is registered in city police station.

Mohammed Faizal Ummer, final year Diploma student of a private college is the victim of the assault. According to the complaint filed by the victim, eight strangers attacked him near Nehru Nagar Junction when he was going with his classmate in the car.

City station police are investigating further.
