Mangaluru, Jun 11: Groups of students clashed at Mangalore University college premises at Hampankatta on Friday June 10.

The incident occurred during lunch break. Some students objected the display of Savarkar photo few days ago in the college. This led to fierce verbal spat between two groups and they fought with each other using plates used for lunch. Police reached the spot on time before further worsening of the atmosphere.

Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar visited the college and took stock of the situation. Three students are injured in the incident. They are admitted to hospital.

A group of students held protest on the evening of Friday, June 10 in front of the college condemning the attack on Muslim students during lunch break. The protesting students alleged that the Muslim students were assaulted as they complained to the principal about display of Veer Savarkar photo in classroom, which was subsequently removed by the principal.

The protesting students urged strict action against students who assaulted the other students.

We have to blame ourselves, because we believed him in 2014 and done the mistake, now all are suffering. If Government is going to change the history of India , then those who have already passed in the old syllabus means they have passed the exam with wrong history of India, and now they have to submit fresh papers to have correct knowledge.

Book the students under Goonda Act of IPC. Once they get this Black Mark on their status will they understand. Go to college to study and achieve your degree. Your parents take huge loans and give you ultimate comforts on your demands. Learn to respect your place of study and worship. Only then can you be an accomplished student.
