Mangalore, Mar 9: Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodbidri which has always forged ahead with an undeterred focus and vision of overall development of its students, this year delved out with a unique three-day campus placement drive Alva’s Pragati-2011 scheduled to be held at Vidyagiri Campus, Moodbidri on April 9, 10 and 11, informed Dr M Mohan Alva, chairman, Alva’s Education Foundation at a press conference held on Wednesday March 9.
Placement will be provided in various field like Banking, Medical, Engineering, BPO, KPO, IT, Insurance and Automobile Sales among others. Wockhardt, Apollo, UAE Exchange, Infosys, Kotak Mahindra, Axis Bank, Biocon, MCF and Taj among other prestigious companies will participate in the mega programme. Total 150 companies will participate. More than 4,000 employment seekers will get jobs through this drive, he added.
The foundation has a flag bearing education institution affiliated to Mangalore University, VTU RGUHs, etc, with the total student strength more than 11,500 during the current year, and it has been expanding its twigs and branches.
AEF has a space for excellence in academical, cultural, sports and performances. The institution has always forged ahead with an undeterred focus and vision of overall development of its students. As a testimony, the foundation has from time to time delved out with various programmes which moulds and prepares its students for the present world order were the competition is on the upsurge every moment. So in order to equip the students with the edge require surviving in such ever transforming technological and business environment, the institution has always been at the fore front in introducing new and contemporary competence development trainings and programmes, said Alva.
Speaking about the campus placement drive, he said this year Alva’s Pragati -2011 targets more than 150 companies which would open its doors for 20,000 students who would participate in the event. This is totally cause driven and no registration fee is collected from any student or company. All the aspects regarding accommodation, food will be looked after by Alva’s Education Foundation.
The job fair is one initiative which is directed towers providing equal employment opportunities to the community of students. The institution has reflected its benevolence by not just limiting the initiative only to its students, where as it also encourages students from all other colleges spread over other district of the state to take part and reap the best benefit, he added.
Alva’s Pragati -2010, was observed and considered as a very successful job fair ever held in the region. In all 35 MNCs and mid– size corporation from across India hired nearly 1,500 students. More than 3,500 students participated from 40 different colleges spread across nine Districts. And thus Alva’s Pragati carved golden bough for itself, he noted.
Alva’s Pragati -2011 will continue the legacy crated and will herald new opportunities for all those students awaiting with eagerness to evaluate their future career. The event this year will unfold the huge aspiration and the robust ambition of the foundation which it has for all the students. With over 150 companies hiring and 4000 plus jobs on offer, the campus recruitments event will open its door to 15,000 students participating from the length and breadth of Karnataka state.
