Bantwal, Jun 11: A person has lodged a police complaint to Vittal police station that lacs worth jewellery is stolen from his residence.
Vitlapadnur Kodangai resident, Vitlapadnur gram panchayat vice president Nagesh Shetty has complained that lacs worth jewellery was missing when he returned from a wedding programme.
The jewellery was worn while going for the wedding on June 8. It was kept in the showcase created in the wall in the bedroom on his return. The theft came to light when he was looking for the jewellery to go for another wedding on June 9.
The missing jewellery was a 32 gram gold chain worth Rs 64,000, 20 gram gold bracelet worth Rs 40,000, three gold rings weighing 12 grams worth Rs 24,000. The total value of missing ornaments is Rs 1,28,000. Besides that a gold coloured wrist watch worth Rs 500 and artificial bangles worth Rs 100, are also missing, states the police complaint.
A case under registration No. 92/202 IPC section 380 is registered at Vittal police station.
