Hassan: Cows grazing in police station compound 'arrested', released after media intervention

Daijiworld Media Network – Hassan (MS)

Hassan, Jun 13: In a bizarre incident reported from the district police tied the cattle up as punishment for grazing in the campus of the police station.

Circle inspector Yogesh instructed the police personnel to tie the cattle for devouring the plants. They belonged to an elderly woman who was residing nearby. The elderly woman was wailing in front of the police station to release her cattle as they are the source of her livelihood.

The elderly woman said that the cows give her 10 litres of milk every day and that help her makes ends meet. She said that the cows might have eaten the plants by mistake and asked the policemen to release the same.

The policemen, however, were not paying any heed to the repeated requests and appeal of the elderly woman. Then, TV media personnel, who got the information, arrived at the police station and started filming the cows as well as the wailing elderly woman. Then the policemen quickly untied the cows and asked the elderly woman to take them home. But they warned her not to leave them inside the police station compound to graze.

Was wondering how the Covid was brought under control. We should be grateful to our Government, our front line supporters, Doctors,Ambulance drivers, volunteers and and all those involved. In the bargain, many medical clinics have misappropriated the excessive charges collected on hospitalization, Usage of Ventilators, High costs on repeated Covid tests, Corrupt deals with hotels for mandatory quarantine at excessive charges and days without providing the basic medical support and meals. But whatever said and done due to all these efforts, the recovery results were worth it. What was the solace received from the banging of Thali s and predictions by Astrologers. Above all, it is clearly evident, that Baba Ramdev's recommendation of drinking Gowmuthra was a fake Promotion to boost his sales. All this tamashsa for a Pandemic deliberately created by humans. How many innocent lives lost!

Better to fence the land instead of giving free access to cows and other animals even human beings. Previously cattle-pound was there. And if any cows goats goats damage the crops and other plants then such cows will be taken and handed over to that concerned Doddi (Cattle pound) Then the owner has to pay fine and bring their animals duly released. There is saying Beliye Holavannu meda Haaghe ( Fence eats the crop.)

In British time and sometime thereafter, there were enclosures called doddi in police stations or Gram Patel office where any person could bring someone else's cows which were grazing in his land or field. The owner of the cows could take them after paying any loss or by mutual agreement. Probably, British did not have reverence to the cow. That system is not there now.

First people do mistakes and then they pretend it wasn't their fault. Grazing should be done in a proper place and not on some private property
