KSS to Celebrate Anniversary with Mayura 2011 Award Ceremony on May 13

Sharjah, Mar 10: Karnataka Sangha Sharjah (KSS), one of the true registered association of Kannadigas, who have all through these eight years of their existence have given en number of quality programmes purely maintaining the culture, language and ethics of Karnataka have been systematically conducting the programmes here which has been applauded and supported by all the Kannadigas in UAE.

KSS's ninth anniversary is scheduled for May 13 along with presentation of ‘Mayura 2011 Award’ to the most deserving Kannadiga in UAE during the function to be held at Al Bustan Hotel,here in a grand manner.

Karnataka Sangha Sharjah identifies the most outstanding Kannadiga of the year among all those who have excelled in various fields, may it be business, literature, drama, music, science etc. the ideal personality will be chosen for the award every year. The deserving Kannadiga will be honoured, felicitated with ‘Mayura Award’ during the annual function for their rich contribution in UAE. The process has already been started
and the name will be revealed to the press prior to the event.

Throughout these years Karnataka Sangha Sharjah have been promoting events purely reflecting flavour of Kannada and Karnataka like get-together, children’s drawing competition, fancy dress competition, Mayura Cup Women’s Throw ball Tournament, Men’s Volleyball Tournament, sports events, Kannada Light Musical Orchestra, Healthcare Tents, Blood donation Campaigns, etc, for the Kannadiga’s to be united and keep the
flag flying high in this part of the world.

To grace the ninth annual day celebration there will be many guests and dignitaries arriving from Karnataka, India and the current president of Karnataka Sangha Sharjah, Mohammed Shahada Noor along with the committee members has requested Kannadigas in large numbers from all over UAE to gather and be part of the celebrations.
