Bengaluru, Jun 17: Keeping up the industrial growth momentum, the State Industries Department has on late Thursday approved 81 industrial projects worth Rs 2,689.51 crore that would generate jobs for over 6,825 persons in the Karnataka.
The 132nd State Level Single Window Clearance Committee (SLSWCC) meeting was held under the chairmanship of Murugesh R Nirani, Minister for Large and Medium Scale Industries, which cleared the projects.
The committee has considered and approved 7 important large and medium size industrial projects with investment of more than Rs 50 crore.
These projects worth Rs 1,229.43 are expected to create employment opportunities for 1,734 persons in the state.
At the 132nd SLSWCC meeting, 71 new projects with investment of more than Rs 15 crore and less than Rs 50 crore were also cleared. These projects worth Rs 1,308.06 crore would generate jobs for 5,091 people in the State.
Three more projects worth Rs 151.42 crore investments was also approved.
A total 81 projects with investments of Rs 2,689.51 crore with employment potential for 6,825 people were cleared.
Among the new investments approved are:
• M/s Purplestar Hygiene Pvt Ltd – Rs.270 Cr, Employment – 400;
• Rs.240.84 crore project by M/s Belgaum Sugars Pvt. Ltd with employment potential for 170 persons;
• Rs.236.8 crore investment by M/s Paraatparaa Coffee Pvt. Ltd with 200 jobs;
• Rs.228.19 crore project by M/s Logically Infomedia Pvt Ltd with job creation for 614 persons;
• Rs.105 crore project by ANS Paper Mills Pvt Ltd with employment generation for 100 people;
• Rs.98.60 crore investment by M/s Ghodawat Foodpro Pvt Ltd employment – 30; and
• Rs 50 crore investment by M/s Jyothsna Li-Tech Pvt Ltd, with job creation for 220 people.
Minister Murugesh Nirani headed SLSWCC in its 131st meeting on April 30, 2022 had cleared 60 industrial projects worth Rs Rs 2,465.94 crore with employment potential for 8,575 people.
Additional Chief Secretary, Commerce and Industries Departmet, Dr EV Ramana Reddy, Commissioner for Industries Gunjan Krishna, KIADB CEO Dr N Shivashankara, Karnataka Udyoga Mitra Managing Director Doddabasavaraj and other senior officials attended the 132nd SLSWCC the meeting.
