Kundapur: DC to visit villages every third week of month - Tahsildar

Kundapur, Jun 18: Deputy commissioner (DC) will be participating in a programme called 'Jilladhikarigala Nade Halliya Kade' during the third week of every month. This was announced by tahsildar Kiran G Gowraiah in the programme held at the Mitrasangama Sabha Bhavan in Bejadi.

He said the deputy commissioner will participate in one village out of 7 taluks in the district every third week of the month.

Gowraiah said the deputy commissioner will receive complaints from the villagers and direct them to officials of different departments for their speedy redressal. He said requests and complaints that are accepted in the programme will get special attention.

A number of complaints were heard and addressed in the programme.

Bejadi village Grama Panchayat chairman Sumathi inaugurated the programme. DySP Srikanth K, Nithyananda of Excise department, Parashurama M of agriculture department, Dr Babanna Poojary, chief medical officer of the veterinary hospital, J M Vishwanathaiah of fisheries department, forest officer Udaya B, government officials B Prabhavathi Shetty, K Sanjeeva, Subramanya N, Rajesh K C, Ramesh and grama panchayat members were also present.
