Two Shot Dead at Construction Site in Andheri

Mumbai, Mar 15 (PTI): Two persons including an engineer were killed at a construction site in suburban Andheri after being fired upon by two unknown assailants.

While the identity of the two assailants is not known, police said they were not ruling out the involvement of underworld fugitive Ravi Pujari.

According to the police, the incident took place at the construction site of Sahana group at around 11:30 am at Andheri. The deceased were identified as Somraj Devrishi (25) an engineer and Yogesh Kude (25), a site supervisor.

The police said that the two assailants entered the site claiming to be courier boys and after getting in, one of them aimed a gun at watchman's temple while another shot at Devrishi and Kude and fled.

They were rushed to the hospital but were declared dead on admission.

Before fleeing, the assailants threw a paper inside the office which according to the police sources contained underworld don Pujari's name and a phone number.

Police said the firing could be result of a land dispute.
