Kundapur, Jun 23: A protest march was held from Shastri Circle to AC office for resolving issues and development of Auto rickshaw drivers and employees of private transport. The protest was organized by Autorickshaw Maddur Sangha ®
The demands included establishment of welfare board and provide pension, ESI and PF, Ayushman Bharath card, reduction of insurance. Not implementing 714 GO, increase of scrap time of vehicles from 15 to 20 years or providing 50% support amount to buy new vehicle.
Autometer rates to be increased due to considerable rise in price of petrol, diesel, CNG. Subsidy for private vehicles may also be considered. Subsidy canteens and rest rooms should be provided for the convenience of DCM and truck drivers throughout highways.
