Mangaluru, Jun 26: BJP state president and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said that it is the mentality of the Congress party to oppose any scheme that is chalked out for the betterment of the nation.
Responding to queries of scribes in the city on the opposition of Congress for Agnipath scheme, Nalin said, “After the NDA government took over reigns at centre in 2014, reforms are happening in India. The union government is implementing several projects that are useful for the nation. But it has become a habit for Congress to oppose those.
“The aim of Agnipath is to bring youth in the army. All should get military training and culture. Patriotism should be awakened. This scheme is good for the youth as well as for the country. Opportunity is being given to those who want to get employed and work for the nation. They have opportunity even after completion of their service under Agnipath scheme.
“Congress in instilling feeling of hatred among the citizens. When it was in power in Karnataka, it used to incite violence. Congress is behind the riots of DJ Halli and KG Halli, Shivamogga and Hubballi chaos. It is showing the height of dumbness by not reading the textbooks.
“BJP will not seek apology for any act. We know how to conduct administration. Let the litterateurs also think. Let them remind what kind of protest they have held in which time period. Let them first understand the matter in text books,” he said.
