Bangalore, Mar 8, (PTI): Burdened by financial problems, three members belonging to a family allegedly committed suicide at their residence near here today, police said.
The deceased were identified as Yelumalai (45), his wife Muniyamma (38) and their 17-year-old daughter.
While Yelumalai hung himself from the ceiling fan,the other two consumed poison. No suicide note was found at the residence, police said.
According to police, Yelumalai and Muniyamma, natives of Tamil Nadu were working as daily wagers and had been facing financial problems for quite some time. Unable to repay their debts, the family entered into a suicide pact.
