Mumbai, Mar 19: The metro-based Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Limited began its Western Union Money Transfer operations here on Thursday March 17.
The Bank’s former chairman and director Jaya C Suvarna inaugurated money transfer services in a simple function held at the Bank’s training auditorium located at Dhivagiri Building, Sonawala Road, Goregaon (East), on Thursday .
Speaking on the occasion, Suvarna said that the Bank has carved its niche in the co-operative sector in Maharashtra by providing diverse customer services. He expressed hope that the Bank is poised for further growth by providing more facilities to the trusted customers.
Bank chairman Vasudev R Kotian, director N Nithyanand, and CEO and managing director Bhaskar K Amin, Western Money Transfer chief Rohit Tiwari, and Wizman Forex president Shantaram Shetty were present on the dais.
Vasudev Kotian said that the customer service of the Bank, its honesty, and efficiency of the employees, had contributed to the organization’s rapid progress. “The Bank has plans to innovate customer services by opening branches in other states across the country,” he said.
B K Amin said that the Bank has offered a wide variety of customer services due to the far-sighted plans of the board of directors, which made the Bank excel in business in the metro.
The Bank’s general managers Chandrashekar R Mulky and Anil Kumar R Amin, deputy general managers Raghu Poojary, assistant general managers Suresh S Salian, Shobha Dayanand, Nithyanand D Kotian and U Dhananjay Kumar, Satish Bangera, Gopal Kotian, Madhukar Kotian, Uday Poojary, Nithyanand Kirodian, Mahesh Kotian, Wizman Forex deputy chairman Manjunath Karvi and Geeteshwar Pandey were present on the occasion.
Assistant general manager Vivek S Shanbagh compered the programme. The Bank’s Goregaon branch manager Naveen Karkera proposed the vote of thanks.
