Mangaluru, July 3: The Mangaluru Rural police raided a shed where allegedly beef was being sold illegally in Arkula Kote of Arkula village on Sunday, July 3.
However, the accused absconded and the police confiscated 95 kilos of meat, the machete used for slaughtering, a weighing machine and other equipment used for the illegal trade.
The accused absconder Basit was running the slaughter house in the cattle shed belonging to A K Khalib, police said.
A complaint has been filed in the rural police station.
