Bhatkal: Heads of slaughtered cows found floating in Sangama area

Bhatkal, Jul 11: The localities were witness to a bizarre scene, when they found heads of cows floating in the Sangama area of the port of the town, which is considered an extremely sensitive zone.

The siting has led to panic among the local residents.

The heads were found floating inside many gunny bags. One of them was removed from the water and handed over to police as well the information was relayed to the department.

It is learnt that the rural police rushed to the spot and recovered the heads of the cows. It is said that many have floated into the sea.

    This act of throwing the heads of cows into the river is intentional, and I would request all sides to calm down. The heads could have been buried or most of it consumed, but the very fact they were thrown into the river makes it willful and for a definite reason.

    Every year special arrangements are done to dispose the remains of slaughtered Animals. this is the work of "fringe elements" to create trouble in the society. they are trying these tactics in Bhatkal now.
