Kasargod: 72-year-old lawyer falls from running train, dies

Kasargod, Jul 11: In a tragic incident, a lawyer accidentally fell down from a running train and died at Bekal here on Sunday July 10 night.

The deceased was identified as K R Valsan (72), a resident of Avannur Thrissur. The mishap occurred when he was returning after Darshan at Kollur temple in the company of his wife and children. A group of ten people had been to Kollur.

The security staff saw one person falling down from the train as it reached Bekal, Uduma. He informed about it to the passengers who checked and found that a person was missing.

Bekal station police, who investigated after being alerted, found him on the railway tracks. He was rushed to the hospital, but had already died.

His mortal remains were shifted to his hometown after post-mortem at Kasargod general hospital.
