Kundapur native Dr Jayakar Shetty nominated as VC of Bangalore University

Bengaluru, Jul 12: Dentist Dr M S Jayakar Shetty has been nominated as the new vice chancellor (VC) of Bangalore university.

An order to this effect was sent by governor Thawar Chand Gehlot.

Dr Shetty is native of Mogebettu in Kundapur taluk of Udupi district. He is the principal of Maruti College of Dental Sciences and Research Centre, and HoD of Prosthodontics department.

    very strange within a month the V C is changed!!! Dr Cynthia Menezes was appointed as VC on June 10 and now this man? dal mein kuch kala hai bhai...may be pressure from the community saying we wont support saffron if minority is the VC?

    Congratulations Dr. M S Jayakar sir. Wish you all the best. Hope you will streamline the printing of Marks cards and issue of PDC and Degree Certificates in Time as most students face problems of non issuance of Certificates.

    What happened to Dr. Cynthia Menezes ? Appointed one month ago as Bangalore University VC. Oh! maybe she was of some other community/ religion/ affiliation or no Godfather perhaps.
