Kasargod, Jul 12: A woman who was to be married ended her life after her wedding was called off.

The deceased is identified as Mallika (27), a resident of Chemnad Kombanadka. She was in love with a young man residing in Kumble. The couple had informed their families about their plans to get married. But their horoscopes did not match. Therefore, their wedding was called off. However Mallika, who was dejected, consumed poison to end her life. She was rushed to Mangaluru hospital in a critical condition. But she died on Tuesday July 12 without responding to the treatment. The family of the girl hailing from Tamil Nadu was staying at Chemnad for the last several years.

This horoscope business is nothing but nonsense....your horoscope is in your hands and you can make it to work for you or break it. No matter what life has full of problems and all one needs is courage to fight it out. All these horoscope predictions and so called godmen could not predict their own future and end., So what they are predicting about others future. Look at all those who marry without matching horoscopes and live healthy and happy life. Ending life is not the solution....there are plenty of cases that you bribe the astrologer and he match the horoscope for marriage, property purchase, house construction, business prosperity and so on.

India is a hub of superstition and blind beliefs. Even educated people get traps eventhough it affects them adversely .

May her soul rest in peace. A boy and girl come to police station and ask for protection from family. Police asks these questions : Why have you come here ? Our parents do not want us to marry each other. Why, are you of different religion or caste ? No. Is one of you less educated or poorer ? No. Is there difference in age ? No. Is there difference in height weight ? No. Do they not like one of you ? No. Then on earth is their problem ? Our kundali is not matching.

Introspection time for self proclaimed saviors of Hinduism...., one noble girls life perished..., the value of pure love & human emotions must be respected... rituals shouldn't disturb the union of two loving souls. its eternal...,both sides parents could have understood the girl better., it is incumbent upon the boy to engage with his parents & get convinced...,
