Kundapur, Jul 13: The recent actions of Kota Gram Panchayat president Ajith Devadiga that made noise in social media have gone more viral here.

Usually the work of the panchayat president consists of coming to the office, signing the cheques and files and working in the office. But the president here has been getting involved in all the activities in the panchayat.

Ajith is more known for his simplicity. The president, who saw that trash collection was not possible as the vehicle driver was on leave, drove the vehicle himself the entire day overseeing the trash collection. He was commended by the general public. He also arranges chairs himself during panchayat programmes and is praised by the people.

People like him are an example for other people's representatives.

He said that he was elected by the people aand tries to provide people friendly administration. “Our panchayat is a model for the district in collection of trash. I have driven the trash carrying vehicle so that our hard-earned reputation is not damaged,” he said.
