Limerick Poet Dundiraj to Chair Kannada Literary Meet in Dubai

Dubai, Mar 27: Eminent Kannada limerick writer, Chutuku Chakravarthi H Dundiraj has been selected to chair the first ever UAE. Kannada Chutuku Sahitya Sammelana which will be held at Philadelphia Private School, Ghusais, Dubai here on Tuesday April 29 from 3.00 p onwards as part of silver Jubilee celebration of Dhwani Prathishtana.

In a press release, president of Dhwani Pratishtana, Prakash Rao Payyar informed about the selection.

Dundiraj, who shot to literary fame through his limericks later on, carved a niche for himself through his humorous stories. The versatile writer has seven collections of poems, 11 collections of short poems, nine
dramas and 10 other books to his credit in Kannada

Well known writers, politicians, cine and stage artists are also expected to participate in the sammelana. Entry is free for all. 

Payyar, on behalf of the Silver Jubilee Celebration Committee has invited
Kannadigas to participate in large numbers with family, friends and relatives to this mega historical event
