Hello Mr. Mark, Muscat-Mangalore. Please do not take it as personal and this view. Today I am in USA and if you ask why you are in USA, and my answer is a simple, and that will be “why you are in Muscat? We all need better prospects and better living. The main reason as you said why younger generation is not bothered to do so.

First of all the now a days Catholics will have either one or two children. Most of them will go for higher studies and abroad. Plantation is not much profitable now days because the plants may get deceases or infected by insects and it will be great loss. As you aware jealous, unexpected strikes, religious issues are the main reasons to stay away from such business.

If there is strike the flowers will spoil and they can not sell it and think of the loss and frustration. Real estate business another cause for this trade. Hope my opinion will satisfy you but if not you have to wait for some one else to comment. Thanks and have a great day.
I do agree when ever I come Mangalore I buy Jasmin from Pangla for Altar and for my family too.
